Safety awareness is a key component of your organisational culture. Your employees produce safety everyday. Therefore safety awareness in the front line is essential for a functioning SMS.
Our web-based training provides your employees with the required safety management knowledge for their everyday decision-making. It delineates acceptable and non-acceptable behaviours in regard to safety and motivates everyone to share his/her operational experiences.
This training will be delivered individually on a computer web basis. Upon completion, a certificate can be printed for each participant.

- Understand the context and advantages of a Safety Management System
- Differentiate the existing safety management organisation and the new elements of a SMS
- Understand how the corporate culture can influence safety
- Understand the advantages of a well defined non-punitive philosophy
- Have a clear idea on how the safety related duties & responsibilities are distributed within the organisation
- Distinguish between authority / responsibility / accountability / duties
- Understand the duties and responsibilities of line personnel in relation to safety
- Understand the necessity of non-punitive reporting for a functioning SMS
- Understand the role of confidentiality
